Mamontovas: songwriter, musician, actor.
Born in 1967 in Vilnius, Lithuania. in 1983 started FOJE, one of the most popular bands in his home country Lithuania they released 16 albums during 1983-1997. The band won all the possible music awards in their country. FOJE toured European and American clubs and at the last show, they did in Vilnius, they had 60 000 people in the audience. It is still a record of all times in Lithuania.

Several generations grew up with Mamontovas music. He also acted in movies and was invited to play Hamlet, directed by one of the most important theatre directors in the world today - Eimuntas Nekrosius. The play is still on the world tour since 1997 and has been performed over the 170 times to date.

Following the band split, Mamontovas started his solo carrier. He has been nominated and awarded as the best solo act since he started to record music by himself. Lithuania has BRAVO awards (similar to Grammy) and Mamontovas has 15 of them for the best song, best album, best show and best act of the year.

In 2004 Mamontovas was the main act at the festival by the Brandenburg Gates, in Berlin on May 1st, when the new members joined the European.

The Cloudmaker Project is Mamontovas first solo recording effort as a principal songwriter. Mamontovas over the years has been influenced by the songs and musical arrangements of Peter Gabriel, R.E.M., Dave Matthews, with a touch of The Paul Winter Consort. His passion for delivering compelling recordings are evident.

The just completed video for "No Reason Why" is decidedly imaginative and innovative demonstrating an emerging creativity so very genuine.
